Yesterday was the first day of school for most of the kids in my area. However, it was not ours. Rather, yesterday was the turning point into a new season in our lives. We have spent the last two and a half years waiting on God to show us the next path in our lives; waiting on Him to move, and this summer He did! Yesterday we signed papers making a magnificent 100+ year old house on an oversized tree-filled yard our own. I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Yesterday many children began a new year of learning. Yesterday, I culminated a time of intense struggle, faith and growth.  Oh there is still much faith to be had as we have moved from one level of trust to the next one, but a new path has begun.

Yesterday I walked into a dream;  a dream that has become my reality! A deep-felt desire has been mine for as long as I can remember. I have longed for a home where I can invite friends and family to come and feel comfortable with us.  A home that I can truly make my own.

Yesterday it happened. Yesterday we took ownership of a home where we can add many special memories to the century of memories already made. As I walked around that place with my husband and children as well as my mother and sister in law, I was filled to overflowing.  It just felt perfect.

Oh yes my children will begin school soon enough. Soon the boxes will be unpacked and the house will become a home. The schoolbooks will be cracked open for a new year of learning in a new place. Oh how happy I am! I’m so excited to share this house with my family. All thanks be to God!

It didn't take Hadassah long to find a good climbing tree!
